Cadenhead’s Classic Rum is a highly regarded continuous-release house blend produced by Wm. Cadenhead Ltd., Scotland’s oldest independent spirit bottler. Known primarily for their single-cask Scotch whiskies, Cadenhead applies the same purist philosophy to their rum selection, making it a favourite among spirits enthusiasts. Composed of rums sourced from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Panama.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich, sweet, and intensely fruity. Dominated by notes of brown sugar, fresh tobacco leaves, raisins, and a festive hint of Christmas cake or mincemeat.
Palate: Dark chocolate, creamy vanilla, and robust molasses balancing out aromatic baking spices (cinnamon, clove) and a faint hint of Jamaican pot-still funk.
Finish: Long, warming, and dry. It leaves lingering traces of sweet toffee, cocoa powder, and charred oak wood.
