Ballindalloch The Castle is a limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky released in collaboration with Sunday Times bestselling crime author John Sutherland. The release celebrates Sutherland’s thriller novel, The Castle, which is set on a fictional Highland estate inspired by the real historic Ballindalloch Castle.

Cask Type:  Aged in a mix of first and second-fill ex-bourbon casks. The second-fill casks previously held peated whisky, introducing a twist to the classic profile.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Orchard fruits, fresh pear, vanilla custard, and gentle wisps of campfire smoke.

Palate: Balanced and creamy with baked apple, sweet malt, silky crème brûlée, and a subtle, earthy, hearth-ember smokiness.

Finish: Medium-to-long and warming with lingering notes of honeycomb, vanilla, light oak spice, and a final hint of smoke.
