It is a tragedy that over one hundred Scotch whisky distilleries have permanently closed during the last century. Despite being renowned for their excellent quality malts, these distilleries were largely closed through the effects of war and politics.
The Lost Distillery Company bring back to life the story of the famed Jericho Distillery, its people and its whisky, to offer you a flavour of what Jericho might taste like today if it had not closed. A new Jericho steeped in history with an old-fashioned taste.
This micro batch 10 year old release was curated exclusively to mark a unique taste of heritage as Inverurie Whisky Shop celebrates its 10th anniversary - a heartfelt tribute to the same community once served by the Aberdeenshire distillery, located in the shadow of Bennachie.
Only 250 Bottles produced.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Spiced Fruitcake, intense Christmas cake, ginger & chocolate
Palate: Vintage oak, honeyed malt, dark chocolate and Christmas spices
Finish: Lingering gingerbread, dark chocolate and mocha.
