A Claxton’s single cask exclusive Cameronbridge 16 Year Old Bottled at Cask Strength by Stirk Brothers. This whisky was finished in a brandy Quarter Cask.
This bottling is everything you would hope for in a single grain Scotch whisky. Whilst the brandy Octave finish has given an extra depth of oaky-fruity sweetness the sweet wheat, oak and vanilla are all present and the aniseed sweet finish will make you want a second dram. A real crowd pleaser.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweet grass and fruits. Walking through an orchard on a Spring day.
Palate: Apples and oak. Sweet cereals and lasting grain notes of sugar puffs. Homemade brown sugar syrup.
Finish: Lingering but not spicy. Elegant and soft notes play a long finish of cereal, apples and sugar.
