Quite possible the first inaugural Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in the region for over 100 years, Burn Obennie, in Banchory on Royal Deeside have focussed on developing the majority of their flavour in the spirit, rather than relying on great wood management, meaning that what is filled into the cask is already worth drinking.
The inaugural release matured chiefly in first-fill bourbon casks and is strictly limited to 2,020 individually numbered bottles. Bottled at natural colour and no chill filtration.
