A batch of three sherry butts from an unnamed Speyside distillery was used to create this single malt, distilled in 2010 and aged for more than 10 years. Silky-yet-rich, this whisky is abundant in flavour and comforting charm.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Rum-and-raisin ice cream, served with pecan pie and caramel brittle. Aromas of caramelised plums and freshly-baked redcurrant scones mingle with the freshness of crisp paper.
Palate - Cloves and mince pies, with a dusting of icing sugar, greet us on the palate. Boiled fruitcake, drizzled with acacia honey, fills the senses. This is then joined by dried cranberries and liquorice-and-mint tea.
Finish - Warming and sweetly intense: allspice, agave syrup and dates. Echoes of velvet falernum and almond extract rest at the back of the palate.
