A batch of six barrels from Aultmore distillery was used to create this single malt, distilled in 2011 and aged for more than 9 years. The creaminess and sweet intensity of this whisky make for a deliciously warming dram.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Warm cinnamon rolls, with white icing, mingle with plenty of poached peaches. A crunchy candy apple drifts in, along with cherry gobstoppers and crunchy autumn leaves.
Palate - Custard creams, dipped in milky tea, evolve into the menthol creaminess of Milky Mints. Desiccated coconut, sprinkled on milk- and-hazelnut chocolate, with a side of caramel ice cream and a touch of juicy mango.
Finish - The headiness of a dusty bookshelf is layered with overripe stone fruit, bread-and-butter pudding and a shadow of cork oak.
