The latest release from Glenmorangie's Private Edition Collection is the Bacalta.
Bacalta is from the Gaelic for 'Baked' and offers a fruity whisky with an almost endless depth of complexity. Almost every sip delivers something new from fresh green fruits to thick, caramel sweetness.
Using casks formerly holding Malmsey Madeira wine, baked in the sun while the sweet wine slowly soaked into the wood. Then transferred to Scotland, the casks have nurtured the Glenmorangie Spirit ever since.
