As this edition is the first Blended Scotch Whisky from Chapter 7, it had to be something really special. It's from a single sherry butt. It isn't your usual blend that contains on average 25% malt whisky. They wanted to make sure this blend leaves an impression on malt whisky drinkers with its 50% malt content. On the grain side, they used some 31 year old single grain. Overall, it's powerful but elegant and will please a malt drinker with it's strength, body and sophistication.
Nose: Raisins, prunes and vanilla sweetness.
Palate: Raisins again layered with cinnamon, nutmeg and oak tannin.
Finish: Smooth and oily finish with fresh straberries, porridge and oak.
