The Caribbean boasts a long history of rum distilling, using locally grown sugar cane. Each country has its own unique style and with maturity the full, intense fruit, spice and, often, molasses flavours shine through.
This fine Guyana’s Rum, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd was made at the Diamond Distillery, the last rum manufacturer in the Demerara region.
An elegant and lightly fruity rum, it has dry menthol aromas releasing from a lush bed of honey.
The palate starts a little dry until the honey gathers to give a succulent bursts of sweet fruit.
